- Buffet Service for Shared Moments: A full buffet is a wonderful way to encourage guests to mingle and share stories. This communal dining experience creates a warm, unhurried atmosphere where family and friends can connect over a hearty meal.
- Casual "Drop-In" Platters: For a more relaxed or open-house style event, our elegant finger food and hors d'oeuvres platters are the perfect choice. This allows guests to move freely, offering a lighter option that suits a casual "drop-in" schedule.
Care for Every Guest
We believe that everyone should feel welcomed and nourished. Our culinary team is highly experienced in managing dietary requirements with the utmost care. Whether your guests require vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free, or nut-free options, we ensure that every menu includes delicious, worry-free choices so that all your guests are thoughtfully looked after.
Creating a Path of Remembrance
A Celebration of Life is often told through the items and stories a loved one left behind. We offer dedicated Memory Table Stations throughout our venue, allowing you to create a beautiful, physical timeline of a life well-lived.
Whether you wish to display travel souvenirs, cherished hobbies, like a favorite set of golf clubs or a collection of paintings, or a series of framed photographs, we can strategically place special tables in the areas that best suit your vision:
- The Timberframe Entrance: Greet guests under our covered entrance with a welcoming display or a "memory jar" for early arrivals to share a brief thought.
- The Mezzanine: Use this elevated space for an intimate "Storytelling Loft," perfect for viewing photo albums with a bird's-eye view of the gathering below.
- The Members Lounge: Line our expansive, sun-drenched windows with mementos that shine in the natural light, creating a bright and hopeful backdrop for reflection.
- The Dining Hall: We can line the pathway to the main hall with a "walk of memories," guiding guests through different chapters of a life as they move toward the reception.
- The Fireplace Lounge: Our original 1960s lounge provides a cozy, nostalgic nook for more personal displays, guest books, or interactive notebooks for guests to write down funny or touching stories.
Interactive Guest Books & Memory Jars
Beyond traditional signing, we encourage Interactive Guest Books to help capture the "little things". We can set up stations for memory jars or themed notebooks, inviting guests to leave a "recipe for a life well-lived" or a favourite memory. These stations can be placed in any of the above locations to ensure every guest has a quiet moment to contribute their personal tribute
From April through November, Mingles Catering & Events invites you to host a meaningful Celebration of Life at our private ski chalet. Nestled in a peaceful, natural landscape, our venue offers a tranquil backdrop for reflection and connection.
Our unique Mezzanine level provides an intimate space for up to 56 guests (7 round tables of 8), featuring wall-to-wall windows that overlook the Members Deck and surrounding hills. Accessible directly from our expansive parking lot, the Mezzanine serves as a gentle entry point for guest sign-ins and condolences.
Guests can enjoy a "bird’s-eye view" of tributes and video collages shown on the professional AV equipment in the lower-level Members Lounge, ensuring everyone remains connected to the shared memories below.
For larger groups, you may choose to add our Members Lounge to your reservation.
This expansive space features floor-to-ceiling windows and accommodates up to 136 guests (17 round tables). When you book the Lounge, we include the Mezzanine and the Members Deck at no additional cost.
This layout is ideal for inclusivity: guests with mobility aids or wheelchairs can comfortably remain on the Mezzanine level to enjoy a "bird’s-eye view" of the video tributes and speeches taking place in the Lounge below.
Facilities: The lower level features full multi-stall restrooms, while a private single-stall washroom is available on the Mezzanine level (via the Administration Hall) for those who prefer to stay upstairs.
Outdoor Space: The Members Deck offers a breath of fresh air for up to 70 guests, perfect for a quiet moment outdoors.

Our Fireplace Lounge, a nostalgic piece of the original 1960s chalet, provides a serene setting for the formal portion of your Celebration of Life.We can set this room with respectful seating rows for a memorial service, allowing the Members Lounge to remain set for a full meal.
This "two-room" flow gives your guests a designated place for ceremony and a separate space for connection. Even with the Fireplace Lounge, the Members Deck is included, offering a breath of fresh air and a connection to nature throughout the day.
